Storm Wrestling Trains Like Warriors with Advanced Team Leadership
The Simpson College men’s wrestling team took a unique step forward in their preseason preparation with an intense and inspiring leadership and mindset training session hosted by Advanced Team Leadership. The training was led by Rich Slavin, Assistant Chief of Police for the Scottsdale Police Department, and Naomi Keller, a member of the U.S. Department of Justice and part of the Salt Lake City Crisis Negotiation Team. Slavin, an Air Force veteran and former SWAT commander who served on over 600 missions, brought decades of real-world experience in high-stakes environments to the Storm. Keller, with her background in crisis negotiation, shared valuable lessons in communication, composure, and decision-making under pressure.
